This collection, mostly regarding Henry St. John Smith and his son-in-law Henry Gustav Beyer, Jr, contains many and varied items. These include ledgers, diaries, photographs, deeds, maps and plans, architectural drawings, and correspondence. There are several ledger books denoting income and expenditures. There are some smaller books and pamphlets for specific areas of knowledge, such as the 1909 Maine Congressional biographies. There are many photographs, especially from Henry St. John Smith's trip around the world, which he concedes is more of a trip to Asia. Includes contributions of Margaret E. Beyer Jenness, donor of the collection.
